Ι found the missing part of the text, and I translated that, too..!

Asteri mou fengari mou tis anoiksis klonari mou
My star, my moon, my spring flower
konta sou thartho pali, konta sou thartho mian avgi
I'll come next to you again, I'll come next to you one dawn
gia na sou paro ena fili kai na me pareis pali
so that I take a kiss from you, and you take me again

agapi mou agapi mou i nihta tha mas parei
my love, my love, the night will take us away
t'astra ki o ouranos to kryo to fengari
the stars and the sky and the cold moon

tha s'agapo tha zo mes to tragoudi
I'll love you, I'll live in the song
tha m'agapas tha zeis me ta poulia
you'll love me, you'll live with the birds
    tha s'agapo tha ginoume tragoudi
    I'll love you, we'll become a song
    tha m'agapas tha ginoume poulia
you'll love me, we'll become birds

    O potamos ine rihos
    The river is too shallow
    ki o okeanos ine mikros
and the ocean is too small
    na paroun ton kaimo mou
    to take away my longing

    Na thioxoune ta matia sou
    To turn away your eyes
    na pnixoune tous orkous sou
    to suppress your oaths
    apo to logismo mou.
    from my thought
    Όμορφη μικρή τσοπάνα......

    Default Thank you very much

Since I saw Phaedra in 1962/3, got the sound track album many years later and saw it again in the 1980s, I have never found the lyrics and especially the translation. This is a first after nearly 50 years.

Agapimou is the title song written by Mikis Theodorakis although I am not sure about the lyrics.

Mellini Mercouri (Phaedra) sings this to Anthony Perkins (Hyppolytus character but I cannot remember his film name) in the film but adds some additional translations:

"I gave you milk and honey. In return you gave me poison."

    And, at its end:

"He's gone off to the cold north. Falcon of solitude."

When she starts to sing it, he asks "What's it about?" Mellini Mercouri replies "Like all Greek songs about love and death."

I do not see this in the translated lyrics above although they are the ones she sings as best as I can recall from memory.

Thank you for this translation. At long last.
