Does anyone know the lyric for Chris Bathgate's song Serpentine from the album A Cork Tale Wake?
I have been searching for them online with no luck at all. I own the CD and it comes with no lyrics so...no luck there either and that is probably the main reason no lyrics can be found online. I've tried to post the lyrics on places myself but it is really hard. Here is what I have so far. The bracketed words are parts I am utterly confused as to what he sings...which is most of the song.
[Our Lungs stone and my days all serpentine the tired tiredness] in my chest rare sense of [SARS] and one dull [don with a hum that split its lymph]
Does my name sting your tongue? Now does it [bay]?
Your thin frame has set my eyes to fray on our dim stretch of this street how it aches for every [gray and sad ]and heart to coil and all frail eyes and [their wives to finally told]
One brash phrase could crush this fragile daze my thoughts swirl in some shrill sad [cannonade] and one such spur that caused my throat to creek the one dull [done that I’ve send since to repeat]
Honestly, I really cannot tell what he is saying 90% of the time.
