And I just spent 10 minutes updating my Adobe Flash Player (AGAIN), just so I could get these pages to work.
Methinks the '80s were a lot more musically epic than most people care to say. Very nice triple-play!
Amanda Scott: Bonnie Tyler's sister? And she gets barely a footnote in one wikipedia article. Shame, shame, shame. Her hit song Lies is a must-have addition to our collection, along with your other two femme fatales of the Rock world.
I probably wouldn't either.
Tess: Duran Duran... Shame on me for thinking he never produced anything worthwhile. Come Undone is one of my all-time 80s (90s?) favorites; beautiful song. Merci ma cheri.
Well, since you went there .....
... You do love those Germans dontcha?
... and btw, Still Loving You is a new Scorpions favorite for me...
My old favorite was this one:

There is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Rockers Unite! => ROCK 'n' Roll Halls of Fame
A pair of New Wave pop tunes from both ends of the 80s...

... 1988. I don't quite understand why this song wasn't a notable hit like some of their others. It's got about as much earthy soul as any Pop-Rock song I've ever heard.

@Teshka Come unode by Duran2 is what I had in mind as a "3 songs having the same title" post, unfortunately I couldn't find a good 3rd one to accompany them.
@Moonride*r* Well obviously "those Germans" had their VERY GOOD moments in rock's music history,
both "Still loving you" and "Rock you like a hurricane" are part of a dozen of their big hits.
But when I firstly saw your posts and read the title "Fine Young Cannibals - It's Ok (It's Alright)",
the first song that came to my mind was East17's - It's alright, strange huh

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

What if Oasis created the song, what if they shooted the "original" vid 15 years earlier?
There's nothing more decisive than PEOPLE'S TASTE in music, so here's the lady with a vid having MORE VIEWS than the original even if they've both been uploaded the same year.
I'm still wondering why though....

Yep, I would say "strange".
But now you've reminded me of an even older song... from the '70s? Upbeat, strong vocals and great dance beat... maybe a little bit Motown... but I can't for the life of me remember it right now.....
There is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Yep, me too. She's good, but... I got bored out of mind in about 30 seconds.
@ Tess: Feist... fiesty little tune there hun, and I'd say it's very much "you".

So how 'bout a threesome from the late '70s?

@Teshka "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad" truly great!
I believe that we're soon gonna run out of choices from the past.
To tell the truth I didn't know it
But even if I SURELY like it, I wouldn't post it here; sounds to me "too smooth" for this thread.
"Feels Like the First Time" eliminated from my list, good pick Moonride*r*

Thank you! same for Mr. Jones, Creep and that one by Muse......one of their best but i agree that those lyrics are a total fail
@ Moon, i wonder what you'll have to say about my third one in this set ^.^
This is my favorite song by ABBA and I'm surprised that neither one of you guys posted it yet....
