I have listened to this song for a while and never really understood the italian lyrics fully.

Can someone please help translate this song to me?

It is by Luigi Tenco and the song is "Quello che conta".

Luigi Tenco, such a dramatic figure, and I heard of him cause of Dalida.

Well I am not THAT all knowledgable about italian songs, I only know those 3 or 4 songs all by Luigi (I can recommend vedrai by Luigi but I think quello che conta is even greater).

Oh gosh, he makes my heart melt.

And I was amazed to know that he was going to marry Dalida, ofcourse i knew dalida before but I didn't come across his songs through Dalida!
