i couldn't find the translation of this song. can anyone post?

    thanks beforehand.
    Endless Climb
    I am blind
    Why can't I hear?
    Color blind
    Speaking a phrase
    Instantly grown
    I am blind
    Waiting in line

Exclamation Of course IT'S NOT kotsiras........

During 1969 Plessas and Papadopoulos wrote the lp called "Ο ΔΡΟΜΟΣ"
that was meant to be the most succesfull greek record of all times.
It has sold over a million copies.
10 of the 12 songs of the LP have no refrain.
Music has been written over the lyrics within a 2 days period.
Musicians recorded the songs in less than 10 hours
with no previous knowledge of the music.....
Singers recorded the songs for just one time.
Lyrics are based on childhood memories of Papadopoulos
during the years of German occupation of Greece in World War II.

    Title: Ximeroni Kiriaki
    Music: Mimi Plessas
    Lyrics: Lefteri Papadopoulos
    Sung by Yianni Poulopoulos
Lp: O dromos (April 1969- LYRA)
    Track no: 01 (b side)

    Ο παλιός φωνόγραφος
    The old gramophone
    πάνω στο τραπέζι
    set over the table
    άρχισε να παίζει
    started playing
    μες στη σιγαλιά
    through silence

    Κι η καρδιά σου έλιωσε
    And your heart melted
    κι έγινε ένα δάκρυ
    and became tear
    στων ματιών την άκρη
over the edge of the eyes
    σα δροσοσταλιά
    like a dewdrop.

    Ξημερώνει Κυριακή
    It's dawing Sunday
    μη μου λυπάσαι
    don't be sad.
    Έιναι όμορφη η ζωή
    Life is beautifull
    να το θυμάσαι.
    you should remember this.

    Mη μου λυπάσαι
    Don't be sad.
    να το θυμάσαι.
    you should remember this.

    Ο παλιός φωνόγραφος
    The old gramophone
    πάνω στο τραπέζι
    set over the table
    έπαψε να παίζει
    stopped playing
    μέσα στη νυχτιά
    through nightime

    Το τραγούδι τέλειωσε
    The song's over
    μα η λύπη μένει
    but sadness remains
    σαν ναυαγισμένη
    as if it's a castaway
    στη θολή ματιά
    in this blurry glance.

PS: I can't imagine how this one hadn't been translated yet.
    It's too classic!

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

...the rest of the songs of that vinyl record are equally amazing...
    I still have it.

One of the most beautiful works ever in Greek music. If not the best ever...
The most charming creatures on this earth. The only women who can show what they feel and, they do feel.
    Stunning feeling...to just meet them.
