Default Play My Love Song (All Night Long)

This song is another "duet" in the writing and I want to think in the singing too and i would sing the lead with Moon in low tenor harmony that resonates part of his soft baritone voice. i wrote 2 verses several days ago but they were so opposite in emotional framework, that i asked Moon to help make it something that became a lot more than it started out to be. As for the lyrics i wonder if anyone can guess which verse Moon wrote alone and added it after the rest of the song was finished?

The intro is only half-sung soft and slow before the energy comes into the music. This song gives just a rough idea about the style or at least the beats - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKf2shU9rVM - but our music would not be as Middle Eastern as that song.....because about 90% of the inspiration for this song came from a Margaritaville in the middle of the Caribbean so I still don't know if the song will work the way that i want it to...

    -intro-
    I said "I can't answer why"
You said "Let's not even try"
Now we're on the wildest ride
Sailing in on a Jamaican tide

Beach Boys on the big screen
But parrotheads are stealing the scene
a Wobble contest at the bar
The gay guy dancing is the star
And this is where we are...

    -bridge-
    There's so much i don't wanna miss
Then Baby drops a soul deep kiss
    And I...

    -chorus-
    Just wanna love my baby
    all night long
    Play my love song
    All night long
    All night long
Sing my song and love me strong
    All night long Baby
    All night long

    People see and people dare
To try and break us with a stare
I kiss your lips and toss my hair
Get this people. I don't care.

Time to pull out all the stops
    Stolichnaya and fruitie schnapps
    Reggae beats and techno tunes
    On the beach wherever's room
Baby let's go back to school

    -bridge-
    Lyric love and moonlight kiss
Not one thing i wanna miss
    And this...

    -half chorus-
    Gonna love my baby
    All night long
    All night long Baby
    All night long...

    (dance-instrumental)

Pitbull wants to own the show
But J-Lo lays him on the floor
    Reggae in Lambada mix
Music's got me in the tricks
    I need the fix..

    (dance-instrumental)

    -chorus out-
    Hey Baby
    Bring it on
    Gon' love you strong
    All night long Baby
    All night long
    Sing that love song
    All night long
    All night long

    Hey Baby
    make my song
    Love me Baby
    All night long
    Love me strong
    Sing my love song
    All night long
    All night long

    Hey Baby
    all night long
    I'm bilingual
    You can't go wrong
    Play my love song
    Make it strong
    All night long Baby
    All night long

Pop Quiz! Can anyone name the mixed (alcoholic) drink that Tess hinted at in the third verse? Time to Pull out all the stops... Neither of us ever go that route (usually just a glass of wine or a nicely chilled cervesa), but in this case we just had to try it

Really like this...you lost me a bit in the bridge and following verse but it could be just a difference in what I listen to.

Thank you for commenting and i'm happy that you like it

If you mean the verse afterward and not the chorus it's bcs that verse is about something that's unsaid, smth that some people can't seem to believe or accept. it's not really a big secret so i'll just go ahead and explain it in case it's helpful to anyone...there is quite a difference in age between us, and i understand how that can be a question, but when someone makes a huge deal about it i may get pissed off and throw it back in their face. A man and woman couple did that at the place that this song is mostly about, they just gawked at us with grumped up faces like a pair of buzzards, and i repaid their attention by giving them an even bigger shock, and so that's what that verse is all about. No one tells me who i can and can't love and that's all there is to it....and i have more money than him so it's not about that either

Thank you Jim for reading & commenting! This is not like smth that i would write very often but that experience took me somewhere that i had never been before, so i just had to try and put it to song. i hope it was worth the effort that we both put into it. and just btw, Moon wrote the last verse and the chorus right after it, so thats his signature on this piece of our musical history

Yup! Lots! But it's fun playing here too!

Tess is talking about a video that I took of a guy doing the Wobble, and I asked him if he minded being on youtube? He said nope, not at all. So yeah, I'm gonna do that sometime soon and then prob'ly post the link to it somewhere around here

Well everybody failed the Pop Quiz in post #3. So here's the answer:

Stolichnaya (vodka) + peach schnapps + orange-juice + cranberry juice = ....... a drink called "Sex On the Beach".

We were sitting at a bar one day, sipping lemonade (true story) and chatting with the bartender, a nice lady from Romania. Or Serbia, somewhere in there. Everything was going just fine until she asked us both... cutting her eyes back and forth, one of us to the other, she said.... "So have you ever tried Sex On the Beach?"

................ I-I-I didn't even know how to respond to that. Coz for one thing, she said it with such a straight face. So I floundered like a fish, looked over at Baby, and Baby was holding the cutest little snarly smirk on her face, while she pointed and jabbed at the placard where that drink was listed as a special.
