Well I woke up this morning
And it was yesterday again... again
It was raining, yeah, it was pouring
Got a cup of coffee and my day began
There was a knock at the door
Looked through the peephole out
Somebody I've never seen before
In suit and tie with a cigar in his mouth
I opened the door a crack
And asked him who he was
This is the part where you'll laugh
Yeah, you will laugh because...
He said... I am the devil
Though I've been called by many names
I am the world's oldest rebel
In the world I'm the cause of any major change
Call me Old Nick, Lucifer, Satan
Or just call me Mr. Jingles if you would like
I'm here because I've been waiting
Patiently to collect what's mine at the end of your life
See you died and you just don't know it
Because you've been stuck in this purgatory cycle
But your soul is mine, yes, you owe it
Ya owe it to me son, I wouldn't lie, I swear on the bible
That's when I turned to flee
But claws dug into my shoulder
He wouldn't let me leave
How I wish I wasn't sober
I spit and curse in his face
But he just stood there grinning
He said, I knew you'd fall from grace
I knew it from the beginning
I shook my head violently
Said I still don't understand
Then I whispered silently
Will you please explain it again?
He said... I am the devil
Though I've been called by many names
I am the world's oldest rebel
In the world I'm the cause of any major change
Call me Old Nick, Lucifer, Satan
Or just call me Mr. Jingles if you would like
I'm here because I've been waiting
Patiently to collect what's mine at the end of your life
See you died and you just don't know it
Because you've been stuck in this purgatory cycle
But your soul is mine, yes, you owe it
Ya owe it to me son, I wouldn't lie, I swear on the bible
Now come with me
It's not that bad, you can trust me
Now come with me
Take my hand, stop your struggling
I wouldn't lie
I swear on the bible
