I heard a COUNTRY song a while back about an old man that sang in his church's choir, but apparently, he couldn't sing at all. The congregation was increasingly upset that he couldn't sing and he was always off-beat with whatever song was being sung. They eventually told the pastor to fire him from the choir, and the pastor took the old man aside and told him that he was no longer a part of the choir. The old man was maybe in his eighty's or nineties, and his heart pretty much broke when the pastor told him this because all he wanted to do was to sing in the choir. The old man died a little while later and the congregation felt horrible (as they should!).
Anyway, I think the story goes that he was now singing in God's choir and could sing to his heart's content. It was a story-telling type of country song and was in that slow tempo old country gospel songs have.
I've tried searching for this song to no avail, and it IS NOT the "Antioch Church House Choir" or "Uncle Jesse" or "Heavenly Choir" by the Canton Spirituals. Again, this is a COUNTRY song. The type that makes you want to cry after listening to it. It is a very sad song.
I think someone else tried to find the song as well, their link is

but I think they were told the names of the wrong songs. I believe we're looking for the same song.
Please help me find this song! Thank you!
