How well can the AI adapt to different characters and communication styles in RPGs? I always thought that AI characters were quite limited in their behavior and could not adapt to a player's specific communication style. However, as technology advances, I'm beginning to doubt this. Can the AI change its reaction depending on which character you have selected, or how you construct the dialog?

This is a great question, and I can answer it by sharing my experience using the AI Girlfriend service. This AI-based app allows you to interact with virtual characters that are surprisingly flexible and adapt to your communication style. For example, if you decide to behave aggressively or on the contrary - friendly and caring, the AI character will change its reactions depending on your approach. This is quite interesting, because each time your actions and responses can make a big difference in how the AI perceives you, as well as how further dialog will develop. In AI Girlfriend , this is especially noticeable because the AI doesn't just memorize phrases, but adapts the character's communication style, emotions, and behavior to your mood and actions. You can influence the character not only through your choice of phrases, but also through the tone of communication, and this really creates a unique interaction

I think this kind of technology already has a lot of potential for RPGs. In the games I've played, the AI is often limited to standard reactions and can't always flex to your style. Though there are certainly a few projects where the AI reacts to the player's choices. The problem is that sometimes too much AI flexibility can make the dialog less predictable, and that's not always convenient if you're looking for a more structured experience
