The above nameless poem is great!"Ignoring nature and the rest"is something I think about often.In my song "Real Problems" I address this as well.But you keep on pounding it into our heads;as if it'll do any good..........well,let's hope so!(sad,but true)

Paradise

don't sleep now
'cause I want to get closer to Paradise
with you
we can do it
if we'll share that moment
together

whirling in circles
crinoline petticoats
bedazzle my eyes
seasons
what would we be
without you?

she had seen through the eyes of her lover
she had seen that the view was absurd
she knew that the stars laughed above her
but she just couln't let him be hurt

she had hoped that one day he would leave her
he would see for himself the truth
she just didnot want to deceive him
or tell him a cheap excuse

when the day came it just had to happen
as she couldno longer resist
she gave him a present she knew
he liked: the composer Lizt

he kissed her and said she would always
be a part of his life
as a friend he just couln't have her
as he knew she could not be his wife

winter gets up
slowly
there is no hurry
it seems
as we huddle
in a cool wind
and stroll
through fallen leaves
friends forever

amaryn i've read most if not all of your thread, even though apparently i've never commented and i feel a little embarrassed about that now. But you have a poet's soul and it's almost like i don't really want to violate the soulful solitude of what you write here. But how can you know that anyone appreciates your musings if it's never said? I do read this whenever it pops up in 'New Posts' and from now on i'll at least click the thanks button even if i don't want to spoil your continuity with any kind of comment

and just by the way, winter isn't getting up so slowly around here, it seems to be in a really big hurry right now

thiis , Teshka, has been such a pleasant surprise. I thankk you most cordially and my solitude
is not as grave as you may think. I just think a lot and make observations, but so do you!

death stood at the door
told him it was time to go
he was not ready

can we say it is never too late
solving problems can always wait
is it a matter rather, my friend
of sticking your head in the sand?

we seem right now in a terrible mess
masses of trouble, buried in stress
we want to flee or at least to postpone
leave troublespots on their own

get up and don't turn your back
on them now
though solving tensions seems frightful somehow
tolerance is what we need most today
let us be brave , find a way

the wonder of light
at the start of the day
seems nothing special
for most anyway
we seem to get used
to such wonderful facts
hardly a soul who reacts

but if darkness would stay
and there wouln't be light
what would we say
if there were only night
could we still breath
embrace our friends
or witness how everything ends?

dreams
pushing us towards the edge of reality
lifting a veil of wonderland
where roaming would make us
entirely happy

dreams
shaking us to the bone
showing us no mercy of lies
to be used for excusing ourselves
time after time

dreams
you and me
sharing our nights
huddling together
for protection

she sat near the window
with in her lap
a cat purring loudly
a llittle mishap
for she longed for silence
she needed so much
the only way
to keep in touch
with what she believed in
a few of her dreams
in danger of loosing them
or so it seemed
she suddenly got up
the cat got a fright
decided to go
for a long walk outside
and in the forest
she found her peace
as nothing she loved more
than beautiful trees
when entering her house
she returned to her chair
her cat didn't purr
but was waiting there

the man had lived
a troubled life
lost his children
lost his wife
he said he had himself to blame
for the mess he'd been in
such a shame

he had no job,
he had no home
a dog he was
booze was his bone
but one day meeting a new friend
he knew what friendship meant

and finally
he realized
the fight goes on
still day and night
but one day he says
-and that's sure
he won't go back no more

what about it?
always the last word
pushing your opinion
in front of our face
like a dirty cloth
dominant behaviour
searching for submission
you won't get
instead
you could try
to be positive
and gentle
you have only got this life
to live
remember?

feel the trance
ready for a quick romance
fall in love with rhythm

making turns

no, no time for romance
cause I am, she isn't

on the move all the time
rhythm rhythm you are mine
hear these basslines, wow the drums
suddenly she comes

move on fast, feel the trance
if you want a small romance
hear my heartbeat, rhythms

Dance ,dance,dance reminds me of the Steve Miller song of the same name.What about it........love it!Story of a friend.........great poem.The long walk.......what was the mishap?I hope it didn't pee on its owner!wonderland........trippy!A message.........my favorite of this batch.
