Jaz sem ucim slovenski tudi.... but it's hard as hell for me with English as a first language and no real experience with slavic languages. I like a challenge, though!

I do have a question though, if some of the resident Slovenes don't mind: it's my understanding that both "s" and "z" translate as "with" in English? This is correct? And if so, how do you know which to use?

    Hvala!

I think both s and z are "with"... I'm not sure about the rule where is "s" and where "z" but they both have the same meaning

p.p. Učit slovenščino je ful težko boš videl ...
    Eins.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei..hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Vier
    Fünf
    Sechs
    Sieben..
    Acht..
    Neun.....
    Ich hab' keine Lust.

well, i managed to get hold of this explanation

The meaning is the same, it just depends on which letter the word begins with. "Z Saro" is hard to say, so it's "S Saro".

    S: c č f h k p s š t
    Z: a b d e g i j l m n o r u v z ž

Hope I didn't make a mistake. Not really THAT important, though, even slovenians make mistakes when it comes to that all the time.
and eh, we'll see if it gets easier or harder

lol hard or not, that's the best damn language my ears have heard.. but u need to have a lot of patience with it... it's, i'd say, the hardest Slavic language and very few ppl dare to take up with it

At school we learnt it by the help of this sentence:
    Ta suhi škafec pušča.
The translate would be something like: That little dry pail is leaking. ^^
