a verrrr... depende de la confianza que tengas con esa persona, aqui en argentina se usa "boluda" para el género femenino y "boludo" para los hombres. but... watch it!

it can be insulting if you don't know the person quite enough, if not, it's just a term used among friends or acquaintances, it's like saying:

"che, boludo, dónde carajos estabas?" = "hey, as*hole, where da f*ck where you?"
"che, boluda, no te olvides de llamarme" = "hey, b1tch, don't forget to call me"

makes sense???

"boludo" or "pelotudo" are kinda equivalent for "cabrón" or "huevón" which I'm sure you've heard, but we don't use in Argentina.

etymology of the word??? very simple: bolas = balls ----> boludo = that has balls (same as huevón)

The reason it sounds like cohara is because a lot of times...to clean up the tracks the producers mixing the songs will scratch over the word....so it kinds sounds like they are saying it backwards...ya know?

well, we use a lot of slang, let's start by that, en argentina le decimos al slang: lunfardo, because it mainly derives from words that we took and twist from the inmigrants that came here in the late 19th century

first one in mind, which I use a lot:
-laburo (noun, means job/work) laburar (verb) etymology: italian word "lavoro" que significa trabajo

we were talking in some other thread about different terminologies to refer to cops or money in all diff countries
here are some

money = dinero
plata
guita
sope
billete
moneda

police=policia
cop(s)=cana(s)
yuta
poli
gorra (always referred to as "LA gorra" must always be preceded by fem article)
rati (only used in its singular version, "UN rati" is A single cop, very insulting, commonly used by criminals and thugs)

some others, to refer to men or women, I put the closest equivalent in english between () most of them are either used for both males or females, but there are some (which I marked) that are solely used for one gender

Male:

flaco (dude)
chabón (can't think of eng syn, MEN ONLY)
tipo (guy)

Female:

flaca (dude, dudette)
mina (can't think of eng syn, WOMEN ONLY)
tipa (fem for 'tipo')

this are the most commonly used, and are "allowed" to be pronounced in almost any circle, unless is something very very formal and uptight. then you have others, that are considered "low class", or as we say here, used by los gronchos, which is basically a way to call people that are marginated, poor, uneducated and most likely delinquency inclined

What does "la boca del pato" mean?
A friend asked me what it meant, but since it literally means "The mouth of a duck" I figured it's a form of some type of idiom/slang.
