Dear comrades! I don't undeerstand dutch. Could you listen to this half russian/half dutch song? Please, write down dutch text for me! The dutch words are only in refrain http://prostopleer.com/#/search?q=Naie+Kashe
I'm from Belgium, yet I don't understand what he is singing very clearly.
So I hope it's right.
Ik heb geen poen
Niks te doen
Ik ga niet stelen
Er valt niet te spelen
100 dagen lappen
Ik kan niet op de kof
Shoppen bij de Zeeman
Het is een grote sof
We werken voor een prikkie
Of in de WV
Elke avond hangen,
ik zit voor de tv
turned out better than I expected Thank you very much, Molotova! but I have some questions: "100 dagen lappen" means "for 100 days span"? What is "poen"? money? Is "prikkie" an obscene word? And what is "sof"?
You need the russian text? I can write it down, it has some ambiguities. Thanks!
Robert
100 dagen lappen ... I don't really know what it means, but I guess it means '100 days of drinking alcohol'.
Poen is money indeed ! Prikkie is not an obscene word, lol. Prikkie means nothing. For example: Ik kocht mijn auto voor een prikkie which means 'I bought my car for a very little amount of money.'
Sof means work. Het is een grote sof means It's a big amount of work.
Maar, maar, ik heb geen poen
Geld kan mij nikske[1] doen
Oekradjie[2] , Ik ga niet stelen
Zarabova[3] , Er valt niet te spelen
100 dagen lappen
Ik kan niet op de kof
Shoppen bij de Zeeman[*]
Het is een grote sof[*]
We werken voor een prikkie[*]
Of in de WV/WW[4]
Elke avond hangen,
Ik zit voor de tv
________________
[1] 'nikske' is slang for 'niks' or 'niets', this means 'nothing'
[2] 'Oekradjie', I do not understand this word, it is probably a Russian word mixed in the Dutch part of the song. (The spelling is probably wrong too).
[3] 'Zarabova', same as for [2].
[4] This can eiter be 'WV or WW', but I think it's 'WW'. No idea what it means.[*] Explination: 'Zeeman' is a very cheap shop, the 3 lines in the song mean; 'shopping at Zeeman. It is a hard job. We work for nearly nothing.'.

There, I gave it a shot, I hope the explanation about zeeman helps a little.
Also credit to Molotova she had many things right (also her translation for 'sof' is right, I didnt know this.).
WW stands for 'werkloosheidswet', which is a law in the Netherlands that provides an allowance to unemployed people (a similar system exists in belgium). so basically it means unemployment. Which I think makes sense in the song, but it's still a guess as good as any =)
Hi there all, funny song, I would like to help out a little bit more :-)
In this context sof doesn't mean work, its means: its worth nothing.
Example: Dit lied is echt een sof, this is a really bad song / nothing worth song
He doesn't sing: ik kan niet op de kof, but: ik kan niet op de pof, which means he can't buy anything now, to pay it later.
In the old days, you could go to a bar and buy 'on the pof'. Which means: drink now, pay later :-)
Rurouni, thanks for your comment !
I really couldn't guess these words or tell their meaning. So please tell me, where do you live in Belgium ? Are these words that are used in your dialect ? I'm just curious to find out.
Hi Molotova, your welcome.
I live in Amsterdam ( yeah ... just like the name of this band - Amsterdam Klezmer Band ;-p) so thats in the Netherlands.
The words like sof, pof are normal used words overhere.
Oooh, dus daarom kon ik het niet begrijpen ! Ik begon al te denken dat ik niks van m'n eigen land afwist, terwijl ik dus eigenlijk bij m'n noorderburen moest zijn ! Aangename kennismaking !
