Never say goodbye

As the darkness sets upon us
Your light touches our face
Soft, warming comfort
To let us know your here

we think of you every night
Holding memories close
As we drift off to sleep
You suddenly appear

You come to us in dreams
To show us your OK
To say you love us dearly
and you'll never away

Before we wake
We say our goodbyes
Holding you tight
I'm always by your side.

This was a quick poem I wrote. For someone we lost to soon.
