In the second post of this thread:
http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=157899
I have been collecting a lot of examples of classic zeibekika that are still played today on Greek "mono laika" stations such as Glenti 101.1, Dalkas 88,2, Styl 104.8, and also on web stations such as Live 365 Radio Rainbow Greece.
The reason I have been collecting these is to show how all zeibekika are really very repetitive melodically and structurally, and how the composer/arranger must compensate for this repetitiveness by doing interesting things "behind the melody".
But it occurred to me that this collection of zeibekika can be used to develop a "concordance" of zeibekika rhymes.
By "concordance", I mean the usual "reverse index" ... for example, if you wanted to know zeibekika in which the word "kardia" is used as a rhyme word, then you look up the work "kardia" in the "concordance" and it gives you all the zeibekika where "kardia" is used as a rhyme word.
So, this thread will hold the "AlltheLyrics" concordance of zeibekika rhymes.
It will take a long time to complete this concordance, but I will work on it whenever I have a moment or two.
And I think that as this concordance develops, we will all learn a lot about popular Greek culture from looking at the patterns of rhymes that can be found in this concordance
