Juliane Werding grew up in Essen,where she attended primary school.
In 1970 she recorded a demo tape and sent it to the TV show "Talentschuppen" of the Southwest Radio. A year later the first gig followed in Talentschuppen. Even before the show, she got her first record contract.
The musical breakthrough came in the spring of 1972 with the release of Am Tag, als Conny Kramer starb. It has sold more than 1,000,000 copies, the subsequent album In tiefer Trauer(In deep sorrow/mourning)sold 100,000 copies. At the end of the year she was awarded the Goldenen Europa the Europawelle Saar und the golden Bravo Otto as the most popular singer of the year.
In 1975 the single “Wenn du denkst, du denkst, dann denkst du nur, du denkst” reached 4th in the charts.
In 1979, she worked for the first time as an actress in the film Palermo oder Wolfsburg , under the direction of Werner Schroeter.
“Nacht voll Schatten”, the German version of Mike Oldfield's Moonlight Shadow, in 1983 was a big hit.
1985 Werding began training as a healer. She was a member of the Live Aid concert initiated by Herbert Grönemeyer Band for Africa. She was awarded the Golden Tuning Fork for the album Ohne Angst(Without fear).
In the summer of 1987 her son was born two years later, her daughter. In the same year Werding finished her training as a healer with the exam and opened a practice in Munich. She continued performing with many more hit songs.
Juliane Werding 2009 temporarily withdrew from show business to work in a joint practice in Starnberg near Munich as a healer.
