I met a man Bo Jangles and he'd dance for you
In worn out shoes he had silver hair, ragged shirt, and baggy pants the old soft shoe
He jumped so high ( he jumped so high )
Then he'd lively touch down
I met the man down in new orlenes i was down and out
He seemed to me to be the eyes of satan as he spoke right out
He talked of his life( yes he talked of life ) Like'd to see to pick to see who his death
He said his name Bo Jangles and he danced away Across the cell
He grabbed his pants and favorite stants and jumped so high
And then clicked his heels
He let go of life ( he let go of life )
He'll pack his clothes all around
Mr bo jangles x 3 come on dance
He worked with those at country shows and county fairs
Through out the south
he spoke with tears of 15 years
Where his dog and him travelled about his dog His dog up and died ( I don't know just up and died )
After 20 years he still grieves
he said not a dance every chance and them honkey tonks no drinks and tips but most the time was Spent behind the county bars cuz I drinks bit
He shook his head and as he shook his head I heard someone ask him please
Mr bo jangles x 3 come on dance
