Asigim ben sana lyrics by Emrah.

    Asigim ben sana anlasana,
    Tutkunum ben sana duysana,
    Asigim ben sana anlasana,
    Tutkunum ben sana duysana,
    Sana asik su gönlüme,
    Birazcik insaf eyle,

    Hayatimin kendisisin,
    Sen askimin eserisin,
    Yüregimde yanar durur atesin dert

    Hayatimin kendisisin,
    Sen askimin eserisin,
    Yüregimde yanar durur atesin dert

    Chorus(2 x/kere):

    Geceler sabah olur,
    hicbirsey avutmaz beni,
    Gözlerim hep yasla dolu,
    hasretin uyutmaz beni,
    Sanki dünyam kapkaranlik,
    Zavalli kalmis günlerim,
    el acip yalvaririm,
    allahtan seni dilerim...

    Asigim ben sana anlasana,
    Tutkunum ben sana duysana,
    Sana asik su gönlüme,
    Birazcik insaf eyle,

    Hayatimin kendisisin,

hmm balkaneurocum.. you know, it makes you want to cut your wrists or tear your clothes apart. i am afraid of myself when i listen to arabesk.. there are some songs i like but generally i avoid. i am sure most people have the same opinion as me.

and also, i don't want to offend people but arabesk was born in the suburbs. and these suburbs are nothing like the suburbs that desperate houseviwes live.. arabesk simply has a negative connotation in turkey. i am sometimes shy to say that i like ibrahim tatlıses songs..

and i haven't written these to get in a quarrel with anyone else.. this is just the situation. i don't name this situation as true or false.

just enjoy the things you like see ya baby..

At one time, while i was living a platonic love,i was listening arabesque music with a couple of wine or bear and smoking to much

but i did come to learn this, this music looks like a "morphine" which narcotize people and makes people pessimist.

and than i said to arabesque music "get out of my life" and i given up to listening it.

wow i appreciate all your opinions on this genre because it is so popular and i'm pretty sure it is a well known genre associated with Turkey.. I do agree, now that i think about it, all of the lyrics to arabesk songs are about heartbreak or being cheated etc. but the songs are so calm sounding, e.x. a few drums and violin or string instruments this is why i find it so strange because the music does not sound angry or 'emo' since 'emo music' is usually associated with metal etc. types of music in countries like the united states etc.

nevertheless i understand how it would make people feel miserable, it is "sad" sounding, so i guess you just have to make sure not to take these songs so personal : P

i like the fact that turkish music is expanding though and more people like turkish rock or turkish rap etc. and not just the stereotypical middle eastern influenced beats..

maybe this is off topic also but i realized turkish music videos have really started to get a lot better these last few years, which is great : ) or maybe some artists are just associated with better labels

In my honest opinion the best arabesk singer is the formidable Ozcan Deniz. He's my king of this genre.
However, thanks a lot, Aksios, for the translation - since for me each Turkish song that's translated here is another great lesson to be learned!

I could also easily address those lyrics to my beloved Turkey itself.
I've also asked God for this cennet to appear in my life.

    Kara sevdalim aslinda!
