Verse 1:
They line you up from your pews
Wash down that hollow vow with bread and juice
That sacred cow that burned for you
Up on that cross, he died for you
Chorus:
They say Amen so be it
It's an omen believe it
Amen so be it
It's an omen
You better believe in Him
Verse 2:
You take a bath and wash your sins
Then gain the right to sin again
Hypocrisy bequeathed from host
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Chorus
That's all for now. Comments are always appreciated.
I like it. It's a bit confusing though. Are you mixing, anti-establishment lyrics with lyrics that proclaim you believe in some sort of messiah mixed with Indian (with a dot, not a feather) eastern type religion into a melting pot of ***, stop making my brain hurt?
Something like that. It's about the hypocrisy found in all religions, but mainly in Christianity because it is what I see the most. I was working on a new riff, and these lyrics really fit the mood.
